Assam Black Tea

Assam is the quintessential black Indian tea. Rich, robust, astringent and highly aromatic, our Assam Black Tea leaves are Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe grade. Often considered a "morning tea," Assam is also the perfect choice for a formal English-style tea and all the traditional cakes, sandwiches and sweets that that go with it. Assam holds up well to the addition of milk and sugar and also makes a flavorful iced tea.

Directions

Black tea brewing basics: Put 1 tsp. of tea in strainer, then place in cup. Add 8 oz. of near-boiling water and steep for 3-5 minutes. Feel free to adjust to your preference.
