Ingredients
Pu’erh Tea (Camellia sinensis)
Pu’erh is a traditional fermented tea originating in China and prized for its deep, earthy flavor. It has been enjoyed for centuries, particularly as a tea served with or following meals. Because it comes from Camellia sinensis, Pu’erh naturally contains caffeine.
Holy Basil / Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum)
Also known as tulsi, holy basil has a long and respected history in Ayurvedic herbal traditions. It is commonly incorporated into herbal wellness routines centered around balance and resilience.
Plantain Leaf (Plantago spp.)
Not to be confused with the banana-like fruit, plantain leaf is a traditional botanical found throughout much of the world. Herbalists have valued this humble plant for generations, and its mild green character blends beautifully with stronger herbs and teas.
Peppermint (Mentha × piperita)
Refreshing and aromatic, peppermint is one of the world's most familiar herbal tea ingredients. Its naturally cooling flavor provides a crisp contrast to the earthy character of Pu’erh.
Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale)
Ginger has been treasured in culinary and herbal traditions around the world for centuries. Its warm, gently spicy character adds depth to the blend and pairs beautifully with peppermint and citrus.
Marshmallow Root (Althaea officinalis)
Marshmallow root is a traditional herb naturally rich in mucilage. It contributes a mild, mellow quality that helps balance the stronger flavors in this formula.
Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis)
Orange peel adds a bright citrus aroma and flavor, lifting the earthy notes of Pu’erh and complementing the refreshing peppermint and warming ginger.
Fenugreek Seed (Trigonella foenum-graecum)
Fenugreek has a long history of culinary and traditional herbal use throughout the Mediterranean, Middle East, and South Asia. Its distinctive seeds contribute an earthy, subtly sweet character to the blend.
We strongly encourage you to do your own research into each of the herbs in our tea blends to discover their history, traditional uses, and the true scope of their benefits.
Suggested Use
Add 1–2 teaspoons per cup of water.
Pour approximately 205°F water over the tea, cover, and steep for 10–12 minutes.
Strain and enjoy.
Adjust the amount of tea and steeping time to find your preferred strength. Sweeten with honey if desired.
Iced Tea Instructions
Cholesterol Control is also wonderful served iced.
For a stronger iced infusion, use approximately 2–3 teaspoons per 8 oz of water. Pour hot water over the blend, cover, and steep for 10–12 minutes.
Strain and allow to cool before pouring over ice.
For larger batches, increase the amount of loose tea proportionally, steep, strain, and refrigerate until chilled. A slice of fresh orange makes a delicious addition.
Brewing Note
Because this blend contains leaves, roots, seeds, citrus peel, and tea, the ingredients can naturally settle in the package. Gently shake or stir the bag before measuring to help redistribute the botanicals.
For a lighter cup, begin with 1 teaspoon. For a stronger, more full-bodied infusion, use closer to 2 teaspoons and allow it to steep for the full 12 minutes.
