Ingredients
Pu’erh Tea (Camellia sinensis)
Pu’erh is a traditional fermented tea originating in China and valued for its deep, earthy flavor. It has been enjoyed for centuries, often alongside or following meals. Pu’erh naturally contains caffeine.
Sencha Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)
Sencha is a traditional Japanese green tea known for its fresh, grassy flavor and naturally occurring plant compounds, including polyphenols. It adds brightness and structure to the blend and naturally contains caffeine.
Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale)
Dandelion root has a long history of use in traditional herbalism, particularly in preparations centered around digestive and liver wellness. Its roasted, earthy character pairs beautifully with tea and warming spices.
Holy Basil / Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum)
Holy basil, also known as tulsi, has been treasured in Ayurvedic traditions for generations. It is commonly used in herbal wellness practices centered around balance, resilience, and everyday stress support.
Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale)
Warm and invigorating, ginger has been used in culinary and herbal traditions around the world for centuries. It is especially popular in blends designed around digestive wellness and contributes a pleasant spicy finish.
Bitter Melon (Momordica charantia)
Bitter melon is a traditional food and botanical used in many Asian, African, and Caribbean cultures. As its name suggests, it has a naturally bitter flavor and has long been incorporated into traditional wellness practices.
Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre)
Gymnema is a traditional Ayurvedic herb with a long history of use in wellness preparations associated with dietary balance and sugar-conscious lifestyles. Its distinctive botanical character makes it a natural addition to a blend designed around mindful eating habits.
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)
Fresh and citrusy, lemongrass adds a clean, uplifting flavor that helps balance the earthy and bitter herbs in this blend.
Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis)
Orange peel contributes a naturally bright citrus aroma and flavor while complementing the tea, ginger, and cinnamon.
Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum)
Often known as “true cinnamon,” Ceylon cinnamon provides a warm, gently sweet spice that rounds out the blend and softens some of its more bitter botanical notes.
We strongly encourage you to do your own research into each of the herbs in our tea blends to discover their history, traditional uses, and the true scope of their benefits.
Suggested Use
Add 1–1½ teaspoons of loose tea per 8 oz of water.
Pour approximately 185°F water over the blend, cover, and steep for 7–10 minutes.
Strain and enjoy.
For the intended wellness routine, enjoy a cup between meals. Adjust the amount of tea and steeping time according to your preferred strength.
Because this blend contains Pu’erh and green tea, it naturally contains caffeine and may be best enjoyed earlier in the day if you are sensitive to caffeine.
Iced Tea Instructions
Crave Control also makes a flavorful iced tea.
Use approximately 2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water for a stronger infusion. Steep in 185°F water for 7–10 minutes, strain, and allow to cool before pouring over ice.
For larger batches, increase the amount of loose tea proportionally. Steep, strain, chill, and refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
A slice of orange or lemon makes a refreshing addition.
Brewing Note
Crave Control contains tea leaves, roots, herbs, fruit peel, and spices, so the ingredients may naturally settle during storage.
Gently shake or stir the bag before measuring to help distribute the botanicals evenly throughout each cup.
If you prefer a milder infusion, begin with 1 teaspoon and a shorter steep. For a stronger, more botanical flavor, increase to 1½ teaspoons and steep for the full 10 minutes.
Because bitter melon, dandelion, and gymnema naturally have stronger herbal flavors, a small amount of honey may be added if desired.
Loose leaf only, packaged in a resealable kraft bag.
Herbalist Notes
Healthy metabolism and appetite are influenced by many factors, including nutrition, hydration, sleep, movement, stress, hormones, medications, and individual health needs.
Crave Control was created around a selection of traditional teas, bitter herbs, warming spices, and aromatic botanicals commonly used in herbal wellness traditions. It is intended to complement healthy daily habits rather than replace nutritious meals, medical treatment, or individualized healthcare guidance.
Enjoying a thoughtfully prepared cup between meals can also provide a simple opportunity to slow down, hydrate, and become more mindful of your body's natural hunger and fullness cues.
